SQL Server transactional replication subscriber reinitialization

I am in need of some help in terms of the concept of subscriber reinitializing. Here is my scenario:

My replication stopped performing and threw an error. Good news is that I know what the error is and its a stupid one. The error occurred when I added new articles early this morning and re-ran the snapshot agent. All was fine and the new articles replicated excellently.

Then I went and did a stupid mistake of renaming an already replicated article on my publisher, now I am getting DDL error that cant understand where the source article is.

I cannot run snapshot agent for now as our database is needed during working hours and the snapshot agent will make transaction inaccessible. I will need to run snapshot agent again during downtime tonight.

Will subscriber reinitializing fix my issue? I plan on removing the faulty renamed article on my publisher and generate the snapshot and then add it back again with the name I changed it too and generate the final snapshot again before finally reinitializing my only subscriber.

Am I going about it the right way?
