Here is the situation:
- pg 9.4
- pg instance "A" in intranet which is often loosing connection with WAN because of satellite problems (primary). This server has dynamic public ip.
- pg instance "B" accessible from WAN (standby) and has static public ip.
I would like "A" to replicate all changes to "B". Is it possible? Standard streaming replication works by standby server connecting to primary. But in my case it won't be possible because it is using dynamic ip.
Replication is needed for availability. When instance A is down, users would access instance B.
Users can't use instance B as primary server because connection to WAN is not reliable and slow.
What options are there?
