SQL Server 2012 Transactional replication over not-always-connected VPN connection

I've read quite a few other posts here, but I could not come to a conclusion for my question:

If I have a Master server A that should replicate a database via transactional replication to a subscriber B over a VPN link initiated by B (so it is not always active, but should be activated a few times per day), should the SQL Server (2012) A be able to manage doing this just fine? With fine I mean that as soon as the subscriber B resolves in the network (that is, when the VPN connection is established by B), A will start pushing data to B?

Or are there problems to be expected which would prevent this wanted behaviour? And if so, what should one need to do to make it work like this (Pushing data from A to B as soon as or when B is available)?
