I recently set up some alerts for Merge replication. There are two alerts that always show warnings.
1. Long merge over LAN connection and
2. Slow merge over LAN connection.
For the first one, it won't show warning only if it set to some exceedingly high threshold value (2000 hours).
For the second one, it is showing warning even if I set to 1 row/sec (which is the least available option).
I see that the merge replication is working fine and validated with no errors. How to determine the threshold values for the above two warnings?
Querying this table: MSreplication_monitordata
I see the below values:
last_distsync - '2016-07-13 14:53:02.100'
mergelatestsessionrunduration - '5431066'
mergelatestsessionrunspeed - '0.14'
Are these alerts critical? What is the best way to handle these alerts? Can we ignore these alerts as I don't see any issues apart from these two with the merge replication I set up?
Any guidance is appreciated.
