We are currently planning to upgrade to SQL Server 2014
Current Scenario:
- Publisher - SQL Server 2008 R2
- Distributor - SQL Server 2008 R2
- Subscriber - SQL Server 2008 R2
Proposed scenario:
- Publisher - SQL Server 2014
- Distributor - SQL Server 2008 R2
- Subscriber - SQL Server 2008 R2
The answer for this post [here] (Can you replicate from SQL Server 2012 to 2008 R2) says "A Subscriber to a transactional publication can be any version within two versions of the Publisher version."
Considering this I do think I need to upgrade my distributor and subscriber too but I need a little more valid information before I propose this.
Any help will be appreciated.
